We've just spent a couple of hours during low and high tide and it was definitely worth going there. Parking price though are a minor rip off, but that was expected. We followed the tracks of the vikings a hiked roughly 6 miles along the coastline at beautiful sunshine! But don't get stuck on the path!!!

Lindisfarne is a beautiful spot and we've visited many times but it is a victim of its own success. Highly recommend a visit to this magical place. Stoked to the brim with buildings, views, monuments, more views and of course Mead! Best seen on foot, take all day and try and beat the tide too. Because of the tides we were only able to stay on the island for a few hours, so didn't get to visit the castle. Can only get on the island once a day but really worth it. Great views and lots to see. Would go again.

Truly a very special place with lovely views across to the Farne Islands and beyond again the people were very friendly and helpful.

Best coffee and cake in Northumberland. Nice walk around, loved the sheds made of upturned boats, well worth a visit
