Only small but right in centre of town. No charge, just a donation. I'm not musically inclined but found the displays interesting. There's a nice little gift shop down below and we spent a few bob on mementos of the area.
very intereting, music was supplied - it would have been even better if the CD tracks corrisponded with the appropriate pipes
This was a really interesting set of displays, with lots about the history and development of bagpipes. If there's any potential to expand it, I think it would be enhanced by including sound recordings of some of the different types of pipes on display.
The museum is upstairs in the tourist centre. They have a wide range of bagpipes and the boards explaining the history of the pipes is interesting. The only drawback was that the staff in the Tourist Information Centre were all busy and there was no one to either answer a question I had, or to provide the headsets which would...
