"Visited this beautiful country pub and enjoyed a very satisfying meal. The bar and lounge are tastefully decorated and have recently undergone refurbishment and improvements. The pub nestles in the village of Ilmington so there is very little traffic or noise apart from the odd tractor and horses riding by. The landlord and landlady made us feel very welcome and... more

As our travels take us around the Uk we are finding it more and more difficult to find a good old fashioned english pub. The Red Lion in Ilmington restored our faith in old english values. No expensive cordon bleu mini plates or wines you've never heard of, just good old traditional english food and ales served in a cosy... more
