World Heritage Cruises is a wonderful way to see the coast off Strahan. Very good value for money, as it includes a buffet lunch, comfy seating, ongoing commentary as you travel around Macquarie Harbour and up into the Gordon River. During the cruise passengers are able to move around the boat and take photos from the decks. Sarah Island stopover... More

We chose World Hertiage Cruises over the opposition so as to support the family run business. Both do the same trip and I believe both are very good cruises. We had cool showery weather which didn't effect the cruise experience at all. We had Premium seats which I um'ed and ar'ed about given much of what had been written about... More

Great local, family run business who know their area and its history. Good interactions with passengers and value for money. Came away knowing a lot about the history of the area from conservation, convicts, mining and piners.

We thoroughly enjoyed our Gordon River cruise with World Heritage Cruises. Our 2 sons aged 12 and 14 thought it was excellent too. We were worried they may find it boring as the cruise departs Strahan at 9am and returns at 3pm, but there was plenty to explore on board and at the stops, and we enjoyed being able to... More

We enjoyed the scenery, the look at where the ocean meets the harbour, fish farming, Sarah's Island convict area and the beautiful Gordon River and its surrounds. Complete with a yummy buffet lunch and great cappuccinos from the onboard shop. We enjoyed the captain's commentary and the guide's information on Sarah Island, and one of the female crew members was... More

Loved cruising up the river and harbour. We were lucky enough to have fantastic weather and we cruised out through Hells Gates which isn't done very often, we heard. The water was like glass and the reflections on the water of the scenery up along the river was breathtaking. Great food too which was a pleasant surprise as I've been... More

A wonderful trip that was well organised and executed. The stop at Sarah Island was the highlight. Lunch was great, crew attentive abd we definitely rcommend it for a little history.

Freezing cold the day we went (9 April). DON'T let them seat you at the front near the door on a cold day. The constant blast of freezing air really gets to you after a while, despite four layers of heavy clothing. Several requests to shift seats were refused by crew (even though there were spare seats) and when we... More

Just buy the basic ticket. Don't go for the gold pass as it is not worth the extra. That is not to say that the cruise is not worthwhile. It is a great cruise and the buffet is excellent. The experience of sailing just beyond Hell's Gate, with the next landfall thousands of miles away, does put you in touch... More
