“Local Beach”

This is our only local, public beach and it is very nice. Growing up in the area we are used to the water and swim alot. This is a great place to go!

“Good sized beach on Lake Erie”

This is a nice place if you are looking for a large beach. The water is pretty nice, not the best but not the worst of the lake Erie beaches I have been to

there is an old factory in operation nearby that blows nasty black smoke into air, so as you look up into the beautiful blue skies,and white puffy clouds, the thick black pockets in the air, kind of ruins the mood. Sand was very yucky - we stayed a whole 1 1/2 minute.

The last time we went to Nickel Plate beach was 2 years ago and it was very clean and a great experience for our young family. Yesterday we went again and there was black stuff in the water that was all over our bodies and even in our hair. Some of it came off with a beach towel, but the... More
