The best time to visit Old Mans Cave is during the weekdays. It's very relaxing to stroll through the lower path and look up at the waterfalls. It's not relaxing on major holidays or busy weekends. Even though there are signs telling you it's illegal to wade or swim, there are always countless people screaming, yelling and splashing in the... More

Way too far from Hocking Hills State Park. Felt like a horror movie, entrance consisted of a mailbox overgrown with weeds, no place to check in, road not maintained, visited our cabin that we were supposed to check in in 1hr 45 minutes and previous resident still there, beer bottles on the car and all over front yard. There was... More

Do yourself a favor and go to the Hocking hills we go all the time and the place is awesome! My only complaint is the cabins in the area are a little expensive but they are always booked.

Incredible natural sights to see. And all for free! We saw all the big sights in one day, but we did not get to hike the long trails.if your into easy hiking then this is really good.

Absolutely one of the most beautiful places in Ohio. Be sure to wear comfortable clothing and good walking or hiking shoes. Some trails can be a bit taxing if you are not physically fit. Pay attention to all trail markings & warnings Stay alert, aware of your surroundings & drink plenty of fluids.. Allow several days to explore all the... More

There are different 'cave' hiking areas. They are all different with their own characteristics. Beautiful any time of the year. Use caution on higher trails. Keep your kids on the trails. Your safety is your own common sense.

We went to the Old Man Cave Chalets and stayed at the Outback cabin. It was fantastic! Very clean, very private. It was great to get up and stroll the paths, to watch the sunrise and sunset, and enjoy the hot tub. Highly recommend Hocking Hills and Old Man Cave Chalets. They were very nice and organized.

We hit this park at just the right moment in the spring. Hillsides were blanketed with wildflowers. All the trails were fairly short and each had a picturesque feature like a cave or waterfall. Rented a nice cabin for the stay. A perfect short getaway

My husband, Two dogs and I stayed at the Old Man's Cave campground in Logan Ohio in April 2012. We had a great time. The campground is in the state park so we walked to the Old Man's Cave trail area. The waterfalls and rock formations are just beautiful. Although there are a few steps here and there throughout the... More
