I've been to Lake Hope several times. Most recently was a visit to see the nearby Moonville Tunnel for the third time. While we were not able to visit the tunnel due to flooding during this visit, we still enjoyed a scenic drive through the park and all over Zaleski State Forest. Great hiking and other activities. They are rebuilding the lodge that burnt down a couple years ago. Don't forget to visit the ghost at Moonville.

We were in Cottage 23. Cottages 21-41 are near a construction site. The parking lot at the turnaround at the end of the access road, by our unit, was full of pallets of building material and heavy equipment. Very UN-scenic! We stayed 2 nights in a cabin within Lake Hope State Park. Bring your own food since there are no places to dine close by.
