Fun and free. Bring digging tools and buckets for water to rinse fossils/ rocks in.

Right off the highway.. Totally free.. And you don't use tools, so you can pretty much just come as is and have fun. We found several fossils and pieces of fossils. Would definitely go again.

Fossil Park is a secluded park designed to allow common people to find fossils among the pile of rock/clay dumped in the area. It's a tidy enough, where they have about 2 or 3 piles to go through. This little park is adjacent to a world famous fossil locality, the Silica Shale, which features exquisitely preserved marine fossils from the Devonian Period.
