From paintings by Renoir to sculptures by Alexander Calder to a vast glass collection, you'll find wonderful treasures here. Founder and first president Edward Drummond Libbey wanted to build a place where art was accessible to everyone, hence the museum's free admission policy, which continues to this day. « less

The museum of Art is well worth the time to go and visit it, HOWEVER, the real "jewel" is the new Glass Museum across the street from the main museum. This is truly a wonderful spot to view different glass artifacts, as well as see the demonstrations of glass blowing by students attending the facility, through the University of Toledo

We love the Toledo Museum of Art. First you must understand that the museum is one of the best in the United States, you will be amazed at the diverse collection of art and antiquities. This can all be seen for FREE! Now the museum is warm in the winter and cool in the summer. It has something for everyone... More

I always come out of here feeling touched by the great beauty and style of this museum. I came to this space with my parents as a young child and young adult and since moved away from NW Ohio. When I am in the area it is always a pull and I have brought my parents back again for some... More

Another great and FREE experience that you can visit. I like how the time periods are separated to feel like their own cozy corners of history. There is a very nice gift shop.

I am not a great art critic, but have always enjoyed visiting the Toledo Museum of Art. The glass display is very interesting as well. I attended many concerts in the Peristyle which is beautiful. We love the Cloister area and the Dutch artists. Give it a try and you will come back.

This museum is a great place to spend a few hours or more, checking out the art, etc. Toledo also has a 'Glass Exhibit' separate from this location -- another good find.
