For a smaller city, Toledo has a wonderful art museum. Everytime I go there I find something I hadn't seen before. It's usually uncrowded- with lots of room to stand back and observe. My third trip to this amazing museum with my five year old granddaughter, who after the first visit was eager to return the next day . In this dying, lovely city, you certainly have at least one beautiful, place left to enjoy and grow. Don't let them take this away from you. more

I did not expect an art museum of this size and quality in Toledo. It was far and away the best thing we did in the city! The ancient section was wonderful. Agree with all the other reviews. Was not expecting much given the rest of Toledo but this is the best! A small, uncrowded gem with exceptional pieces. We spent several hours there and didn't see half of it. The new Glass Pavilion is being built across the street but isn't open yet. We will definitely return to see the rest... more

I have visited many famous art museums all over the world so I really wasn't expecting too much. It had a great selection of all kind of art from classical to modern. It also has a small sampling of asian art. more

This museum has such an outstanding collection of Old Masters, Impressionists, American painters, and modern art that it is worth a long journey just to see it. Admission is free, and the staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful to visitors. more
