This isn't my cup of tea, but my husband and kids loved it. Has some really neat old guns.

A must visit for any gun afficianado - especially if you are in Cowboy shooting. All the other reviewers wrote more in depth and descriptive observations than I'm capable of. I agree with all of them. There is something for everyone here - saddles, boots, collectors items, a running model train, video etc. There...

What a fantastic museum and what story could be more interesting ? from hotel to museum !
The collection of antique guns is quite staggering, The NRA have only about 2000 guns, this museum has several times more than that, and made me wonder why I visited the NRA Firearms Museum before coming here.
It has many other displays to...

Amazing display of 17th to 20th century weapons. If you're remotely interested in early guns, this is not to be missed. They had a bb gun activity for kids on the day we visited. Spent three hours and wanted to return after I left.
There are so many firearms and collectibles that it is almost overwhelming. I found myself skipping over pieces and stopping at things that interested me as there was no way to read everything. There is an exhibit on early Oklahoma criminals that I found fascinating and was worth the stop. For the kids, the highlight was the small model train...

This is a great place for gun enthusiasts. I, however, don't care for guns at all, so I was bored. But if you love hunting, war memorabilia, etc, this is the place for you!
Though guns are the primary exhibit here, there are some variety of collections. Musical instruments, knives, presidential election buttons, beer Steins, clocks, statues to name a few. be prepared to spend a few hours in this place looking at the variety and history of the guns in this collections. And enjoy the area on Claremore history and the exhibit on...

My fiance and I headed out to Claremore specifically to this museum. Having been involved in Civil War re-enactment in the past, he was eager to re-visit the museum and I had passed it a million times but had never stopped. I was curious because I love history! The suggested donation was reasonable, and the staff were very friendly and...

J.M Davis was a wealthy oilman who started collecting guns... and then began collecting collections. He bought the Mason Hotel and displayed his collections there, until he outgrew the hotel. He leased his collection to the state of Oklahoma for $1.00 for 99 years with the understanding the state would house the collection and not charge the public for viewing....
