About
Myriad Botanical Gardens is one of Oklahoma City’s most beloved public spaces, offering its visitors a 15 acre natural escape in the heart of downtown. A half-acre children’s garden, an off-leash dog park, splash fountains, and paths for walking and jogging provide guests young and old with a place to seek solitude with nature, or seek community and the company of others. The Gardens offers a variety of horticultural education programs for adults and children. The centerpiece attraction of the Gardens is the Inasmuch Foundation Crystal Bridge Conservatory. Its unique design has earned attention and praise in the architectural community. It is 224 feet long, 70 feet in diameter, and is covered by 3,028 sections of translucent, double-layered acrylic panels. After an 18-month, $11 million renovation, it reopened to the public on November 18, 2022.

- Grover RPensacola, Florida18,062 contributionsIncredible Botanical AttractionOne of the best things about visiting the Great Plains in Spring is seeing the parks and botanical gardens, and this one in OKC is fabulous. The combined diversity and quantity of botany and architecture on display in the single block of downtown is an amazing MUST SEE. I have been to some great gardens but to see it all in a single city block is incredible, outside and inside, open space and shade, water features and stadium seating. If you like plants this is an attraction worth coming to Oklahoma. I love plants and this place was so unexpected and incredible, really an attraction accident. Finally this is a great amenity and feature for downtown OKC, be sure to spend time here.Visited April 2023Travelled soloWritten 22 May 2023
- Sheila KPonte Vedra Beach, Florida67 contributionsThe Garden's Conservatory the thing to see!The best thing about Myriad Gardens is going into the conservatory (Crystal Bridge) which is paid, but well worth it. It's beautifully designed with a waterfall inside, and the descriptions of the plants inside is very interesting, including having slots through which you can smell different scents of the plants. The plants are organized by use, such as smell for perfume, texture for making a Panama Hat, medicinal, to eat, etc. Probably a one-hour visit. The gardens include an amphitheater and it's a nice walk around a large manmade pond/reflecting pool that has Koi fish.Visited May 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 3 June 2023

This was right across the street from our hotel so whenever we went that way, we walked through the gardens. It made the walk cooler and more enjoyable. It's a beautiful area.Visited June 2023Written 9 July 2023
- JAnd213Piqua, Ohio79 contributionsWorth the trip.Since temperature was extremely high that day we chose to go early in the morning and walk around the outside grounds to enjoy it in cooler weather and then chose to go inside. Grounds were very pretty and I realize in September they wouldn't have as many flowers but it was still pretty. Overall it was a nice garden but I have been to better. Crystal bridge I did expect more but it was still nice.Visited September 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 12 September 2023
- DavigetaSaint Louis, Missouri1,091 contributionsA beautiful place downtown. This garden is just west of Bricktown. Most of it is free, though the Conservatory on the grounds is not. The gardens are quite beautiful. There is an outside amphitheater there. Right now, they are setting it up for a children's event celebrating Halloween. The decorations are wonderful! You have to pay for nearby parking, in 15 minute-intervals. The Conservatory itself was pretty nice as well, displaying tropical species with placards discussing their uses and such. A beautiful spot in OKC.Visited October 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 3 October 2023

Fun, family friendly attraction. Beautiful gardens, inside and out. So much to look at and very well taken care of. The front desk staff was very kind also.

The grounds are absolutely stunning. There’s a splash park for children on the grounds as well as a carousel! The flowers were a little wilted due to the sweltering heat, but with cooler climate, I know the grounds would be even more beautiful! The crystal bridge allows a full view of the entire indoor garden. It’s humid but beautiful!

We had planned on visiting the entire Botanical Gardens, however, it was a drizzly day, so, only visited the Crystal Bridge. We went on a Sunday, and although, there were quite a few people, it was not crowded, and we got around easily. Muffin (the resident parrot) greeted us with a cheery "Hi”, as we passed her cage. The Conservatory is 224 feet long, and the plant display area features two distinct climates, Tropical Wet Zone and Tropical Dry Zone. The plant groupings follow a logical pattern, and are nicely spaced and labeled. The information boards are easy to read and understand.
We did not need to spend any time in the Tropical Dry Zone, as we are very familiar with those plants. They grow in our front and back yards.
The building is as magnificent as the plants, and has three levels. Level two and three have overlook terraces, and looking down on the entire display of tropical plants on the first floor is very enjoyable. Most people were taking the stairs, but we were "overcome" by the humidity, and took the elevator. After all, here in Tucson, we, often have 3% humidity, and seldom does it get over 40%. So, we were wilting inside the Conservatory.
Next door, there is a very nice Gift Shop, with many unique and interesting items.

There isn't dining inside, is there? Food trucks nearby? What about the closest places to eat within walking distance?
Written 12 August 2017
I believe there was a restraint within but not entirely sure, dining nearby yes, not sure on price range
Written 13 August 2017
no.
Park is open but paid area enclosed garden is closed on Christmas.

My answer would be depends on what type of person you are. if you like to look at the plants, read the signs, stroll around the pond and take your time, I'd say 2 hours. If you're a walk through "That's a plant, that's a plant" type person, you can be done in about 20-30 minutes.
