We traveled 101 from Astoria to Florence, OR with my husband in August 2008. Ecola State Park is by far our favorite place on the coast. The views are just fantastic! We highly recommend this place. more

This was my first, and by far my favorite, stop on a day-long trip to the Oregon coast. Cannon Beach itself is a tourist trap, but Ecola is full of natural beauty. From Ecola you can enjoy a picnic in a wonderous area, see Cannon Beach in the distance, with its gorgeous haystack rocks. You can see beautiful rock formations... more

Stunning views are what you will find at this gorgeous area of Cannon Beach. We spent yesterday afternoon here, having a picnic and soaking up the beauty on a beautiful sunny day at the coast. We enjoyed over 2 hours here, leisurely walking around the paths and stopped to spot some whales that were out in the ocean. We love... more
