Get the famous picture of the hugh wave breaking over the lighthouse. The lighthouse is now a Mausoleum. Could not find a tour to go to it, but appears to be dangerous, unless in the summer with calm ocean. Can't image someone living there all year.
We make it a point to see this lighthouse every time we're in the area. Such a marvel out there in the ocean.
This lighthouse can be seen from Ecola State Park. Its the only lighthouse that is a mile offshore. Its beautiful and a quite a feat when you think about that fact that they built this 100 years ago. Note bring your binoculars to get a good view and dont expect to see it on a fogging day.
