The hot springs are in a wonderful setting, in the mountains, with a meadow and a river running nearby. There are three natural rock pools in the meadow and three tile tubs near the river. The temperature varies from pool to pool and tub to tub. All are just right depending upon your mood. I went for a weekend stay,... More

We came here for a day trip from Portland. Having been to a hot springs in Steamboat, CO- I was anticipating something similar to that (more family oriented, tourist aimed). This was very different. It has a much stronger organic vibe. At first, it was unnervingly chill as we tried to get oriented to the place; as if we walked... More

having been to many hotsprings from alaska to new mexico, breitenbush is my favorite developed hotsprings in the united states. the pools are clothing optional so heads up if you have issue with people exposing their human form. in all the times i've been there, i've only witnessed appropriate behavour in the pools: no 'fooling around' or open displays of... Calm, relaxing, and refreshing are some words that describe this place. But there is so much more to it. It is one of those places that you just have to go to in order to understand the beauty and feelings of reflection that it tends to induce.

I'm thrilled to be up at Brietenbush Hot Springs again! Started coming here in the late 70s and now have the privilege of being here several times a year as a workshop presenter in the spring/summer/fall. This is my first winter visit in many years. There's nothing quite like soaking outdoors in the warm soothing waters while watching the snow... More

Excellent place for natural healing geo thermals, a gem of a place to go and rejuvenate in the hotsprings! A beautiful setting, lots of extra activities to participate in. Welcoming and friendly place.

Gotta love this place. My wife and I went on a recent Thursday night. The reason for Thursday is because the sweat lodge ceremony was on that day. The ceremony was very cleansing for the body and the mind. The cabins are basic but the bed was very comfortable. The springs are great and the natural sauna is unique. Drop... More

Remember the Charlie Brown cartoon where the great pumpkin is looking for the most sincere pumpkin patch? Must be at Breitenbush. Good vegetarian food (I'm a dedicated carnivore, and I still like the stuff - bring your own caffeine, though). Sleeping accomodations are comfortable, but not even close to fancy. The hot tubs are awesome; the people you meet are... More

This is the second time I've been for the day. Well, it would have been. Last time, they lost our reservation and they did the same this time; however, this time we were turned away after the 2.5 hour drive by a very rude young lady at the office. I haven't been treated so rudely not been so embarrassed in... More
