The tastings there are a bit academic, particularly with the Pinot Noirs, because they truly make their wines in a Burgundian style and they are generally far too young when offered in the tasting room. But this winery looks architecturally as if it were teleported here from the French countryside complete with lavender in the summer. Only the towering, snowcapped... More

Damaine Drouhin crafts some of the best wine in the northwest. If you can get ahold of some of the 2008 Lauren, you will be thrilled. The location is stunning and the staff, especially Terrie, is warm and friendly. Taste at DDO. You won't be disappointed.

This is a must stop in the Dundee Hills. We've been drinking Domaine Drouhin Oregon wines for several years and had high expectations. The tasting room met these and introduced us to some new wines. We also took a tour of the cellar. The setting is stunning. When we were there they were expanding the outside patio, so it should... More

The excitement about Oregon wine started here when Drouhin moved in from France. The wine surprisingly is kind of average. There is better wine on the hill at places like Domaine Serene, DuPonte, Sokol Blosser and Archery Summit... but taste at all of them and see what you think.

They have incredible Pinot and give a wonderful tour but beware they are a bit snooty.

The place is beautiful and the wines are very tasty. The tasting fee was moderate, though they only comp you if you spend $100 or more, which I found a touch aggressive. Worth the trip and very representative of Dundee wines. It's closely located among many other nice tasting rooms.

The Drouhin name is well known in France and they've brought their skills to Oregon. Nice to have some of the 'old ways' still alive.

This is a very nice tasting room and the wine was so good. They did compare themselves to french wine. i was not sold on that, but I did like the wine. The staff was great. We asked a lot of questions and they were so kind to answer. Found out that they have a dist in my state, so... More

Domaine Drouhin resists the siren call of American palates and remains unrepentantly Burgundian in its style: refined, restrained, and elegant (or to its detractors, thin, watery, and acidic). Not as hedonistic or immediately gratifying, but definitely built for the long haul. Delicious, sophisticated wines.
