Nice wood hip trail that is flat and scenic. Eugene is a great town for running .... As you can imagine tack town would be.

Pretty. It's been awhile, but I remember it being a good hike, even in the rain (if you have good shoes).

I confess, I have little to no interest in "Pre (yeah, I know it's Steve Prefontain's nick-name), but the trail is just a beautiful, relaxing place to walk on a weekday. With a few different, but connecting forks in the path, you can walk along the Willamette, trail off though the forest, and head out to the open Autzen Wildlife... More

You have to come a run on Pre's Trail. Just the history alone makes it a worth while event.

I have spent hours over the years on these trails. They are very nicely barked, and there are some paved trails along the river. I even did some volunteer work, helping to make a gravel base for the trails. Lots of people volunteer to keep these trails up. They are a terrific part of Eugene.

I have run many times on Pre's Trail it is sort of mucky at times, but it is beautiful all year round and the people on it tend to be friendly. The trail itself is well kept and is nice to run on.

How many cities in the U.S. can boast a multi-mile scenic walking/jogging/cycling trail along a world-class waterway? Eugene/Springfield has the distinction of having preserved access to the riverfront for the public instead of fencing it off behind private property boundaries. This is one of the treasures of this area.

I am a runner, and part of the reason I viisted Eugene was because of Pre. It is a great trail on a nice soft surface. I couldn't believe how many people used it. The parking lot was almost full around 5 pm.
