It's not high tech, it's not death defying, but in general it was fun! It's more like a Science trip destination. It is very - very old Oregon tourist destination, I think it has been open to the public since 1930! There is a little place to buy t-shirts etc.

We drove all the way up there and we were the only ones there. The price was $9.95/person and I asked for a slight accommodation for my disability which should have been easy for them, other places do it all the time. The girl was very rude.

Can't believe they get people to pay so much. It is definitely an overpriced tourist trap. Can be interesting, but not worth the cost.

Just visited with my 10- and 12-year olds, who liked it, and in fact I liked it too. It was slow-moving at times, and some of the "tricks" a bit corny, but overall some interesting concepts. As a "roadside tourist trap," it's outstanding and well worth the money and time. As a destination, though, they should choose whether it's a... More

If you're in the Gold Hill area and looking for a fun diversion from the usual tourist trap, check out the Oregon Vortex. There are some odd things going on there that will simply blow your mind. It's open seasonally, so check their website to see what there hours are.

I don't understand it but it is very cool. Took our kids many years ago and (then) it wasn't really very much except it's like no where else I've ever been. You just have to go check it out to see how cool it is.

One of those roadside attractions you stop at almost as a joke, then end up having more fun - and learning more - than you expected. The nerdy tour is filled with camp - part science and part schtick - but I defy you to go through the entire visit without being amazed at least once. Good for the entire... More

Too expensive for it as well. Husband sat in car, went in with kids. They were not impressed either and for the price of illusions, well... I remember Knotts when I was young as well. Same things.

A story about a magnetic vortex at the site and Optical illusions are the focus. The kids might like it.

I was there twice within a month with visiting family. The second time, I brought my own level. I won't tell you what happened when everyone else was in the crooked house and I was outside measuring all boards, but I did discover the secret of the "vortex." All in all, it's an amusing exhibition, but definitely an illusion.
