What I really appreciated about the place is that it is wasn't just some "amusement park" exploiting the sea life, but it really is viable working educational institution that is doing its part to help improve the seas and the coastal communities. The place was very kid-friendly, but also had enough information to keep adults interested, too. The interactive exhibits... more

This is such a nice calm change of pace, from the neighboring aquarium. All of our children, young and old, love this place and enjoy the up close and personal interaction with sea creatures. There’s plenty of helpful and knowledgeable staff available, to answer any question you might have. The price is certainly affordable; it’s donation only. We’ve been to... more

Hatfield Marine Science Center is one of the most interesting places that I have ever been. The hands on displays and exhibits are simple enough that my little sister can understand them but also have information that hooks the adults. Hatfield usually has smaller crowds that you find at the Aquarium which makes it good for families with kids. Ask... more
