It seems the zoo was built in the 50s without a lot of thought about people with strollers or wheelchairs There are stairs in many places where there should have been ramps. This is a very nice zoo. It is true that there was some construction but I asked questions and they said they were improving the living space for the monkeys and adding lions. The Oregon Zoo has beautiful, naturalized exhibits. The animals are well cared for and healthy. The zoo has frequent special events with activities for kids and adults. They encourage visitor participation. We loved the Birds of Prey shows and the concerts. We come early in the morning to see the animals at their most active. more
