For me this is Portland's premier garden. I was awed by the buildings and having tea in the tea house was a real treat. This is a very special place and will always have a spot close to my heart. more
It's an unbelieveable sight; the gentle slope of a tiled roof, framed by lush vegetation and blossoming trees, with a huge skyscraper looming overhead. We spent the day today, in the Portland Chinese Gardens. The flowers are blooming, a jay is nesting and will come out and swoop down to be sure no one comes near her nest, ducks are floating on the lake and it is quiet and serene...right in the heart of the City of Portland.
