Nice place. The older lady was very cranky and not inviting at all. When they say a tasting they mean barely a splash of wine (maybe a Tbsp) Other wineries gave considerable more for a taste at the same price You do have an opportunity to get a pizza if they ordered enough supplies. $15 for a $6 pizza Go... On a summer weekend, stop by for brick oven pizza and wine. A nice view and fun people, can't beat it!

Ankeny Vineyard has a sign on the freeway so after so many years we decided to take the road to Ankeny. Really good wine and personable vintner.

We stumbled upon Ankeny Vineyard one day and were so glad we stopped! We tasted about eleven wines for $5. We only wished we were hungry so we could have enjoyed the pizzas they prepare in their outdoor oven. I ended up buying a couple of bottles of wine to take home.

This is a little winery with okay wine -- quite drinkable but not for a special occasion. During the Summer they serve dinner -- eat on the veranda. A liter of house red or white is inexpensive and serves you well. They built their own wood fired pizza oven and serve a really nice pizza, reasonably priced. This winery overlooks... More

Beautiful drive from I-5 to the location. Chances are the owner's dog will pleasantly greet you in the gravel parking lot. The outdoor seating is limited on the deck but the vibe is extremely friendly and the deck fills up rather quickly. The open hearth pizzas are delicious, fresh and inexpensive. The wine list is adequate and reasonably priced and... More

This place is great, wood-fired pizza with fresh ingredients, excellent wine at reasonable prices, and sunset views of the valley from the back deck! Try the Pinot Gris, they won awards for it. You can share a bottle of really great locally made pinot for about $ 22.
