The trail is steep and rocky with many exposed tree roots as well at the north (Seaside) end but gets less severe as you near Ecola St Park. If you have the time, take a half day or longer to explore Tillamook Head. The views are INCREDIBLE! Last time I was out there, you could look straight down at some grey whales who were resting during their long migration from Mexico to Alaska.
