I was scheduled to give a presentation at this venue and found the facilities to be excellent and the staff to be helpful and knowledgeable. Well worth the visit.
My husband and I wanted to enjoy a nice Saturday in our area. We found the Fort Hunter Mansion and Park to be delightful. We love museums and historical sites. We were very pleased with the 45 minute personal tour we had of the mansion. If is very beautiful inside and out. There is also a park and other sites... More
If you are a history buff you will like this park, if you are not you will still like it. A beautiful location along the river, great place for a picnic. The wine and music fests draw a big crowd.
Visiting Harrisburg for the first time, the four of us were very happy that we included this historic site in our two day stay. It is on a beautiful location and the tour guide was excellent. The small gift shop is lovely. The grounds, overlooking the Susquehanna River, are spectacular.
This mansion is a must see for anyone visiting the Harrisburg area. They specifically provide activities for children so that children walk away with knowledge of the early history of Pennsylvania. The park is lovely with grounds for walking and several times a year they sponsor antiques for sale. This site is family oriented such that their is enjoyment for... More

We didn't expect the house to be open, but it was. For $10 my wife and I were given a personal tour... More
What's not to like? Relaxing by the river, bands, ice-cream, fireworks, nice people..all free!! Did I mention there was free ice cream by Turkey Hill last night? You'll like the peace and quiet plus learn about 1800's life.
Our mansion tour guide spent a lot of time explaining anything we were interested in. I was with two teenage girls, and he was very good at not over-explaining things that might bore them. He did a terrific job! All of us enjoyed the tour! We did not get to do any of the self-guided outdoor tours because a thunderstorm... More
We found this park quite by accident when we decided to drive down Front Street to get better photos of the lovely arched train bridge. This was a jewel of a find. Beautifully kept park. We were too late for a tour of the mansion but we enjoyed looking at the grounds and taking photos of the well kept mansion.... More
