Not what the name would lead you to believe. True, they do offer for sale every piece of candy Hershey makes, but so does a grocery store and at the same price. We planned to spend most of the day at chocolate world but ended up there about thirty minutes.

It's a simulated chocolate plant visit, but with the actual smell of chocolate. Fun and free! At the exit, a giant Hershey store...indulge yourself!

Day two of our Hershey trip was planned to visit Chocolate World; I figured we would need a half day or so... most of the time was spent waiting in line! The chocolate tour was cute and about 10 minutes long. Everything else costs money, its crowded and there isn't anywhere to wait. Everything starts selling out and you have... More

The experience gets better every time we visit. I am old enough to remember when you could tour the factory(which was the best). The ride is informative and enjoyable

If you don't mind waiting in line, then you'll probably enjoy HCW! Even during your wait, there are plenty of entertaining exhibits and displays to look at & learn from. After the free ride, you can shop &/or dine in the huge gift shop/ food court that awaits you after you exit the ride. Chocolate, pizza, souveniers, t-shirts, tins, stuffed... More

Ride through chocolate making process was fun. Too bad the real factory doesn't still have a tour.

First of all if you are bringing children here - beware!! A giant room full of chocolate, a full food court full of junk food and a bakery! But wow is it awesome. Our favorite part of it is the great chocolate adventure tour. Its a people mover that takes you through the process of how they make the chocolate.... More

Driving back from Washington, we felt compelled to check it out for the kids. There is only one free attraction, a carousel ride from the 1970s with singing cows telling you how happy they are to "give" their milk for chocolate. It is a bit dangerous to get on and off - surprised that no-one has sued yet in this... More

Avoid going on a weekend because it is FULL of young children on field trips. The little ride with the singing cows is fun but the shop seems very overpriced. Get your candy at Walmart and pretend you bought it at the Hershey store :)
