The reviews here are a little out there as to how they perceive zoos. Yes the zoo is small. Yes the animals, particularly the ones located inside, are kept in smaller areas. But it doesn't make it bad. My family and I have been members of a different zoo for years and with that have visited numerous zoos and I... more

There are a fair amount of animals at this zoo, but their space was so limited I felt terrible for them. Not sure how these standards are allowed. more

This zoo had a limited number of animals and should be free of charge. Fortunately, we went for literally 5 minutes while we were at Hershey Park. more

I recently visited Hersheypark on May 30, 2009 and went to the zoo as well. The smell is horrible when you first enter the exhibit room. The poor animals look so depressed. The aligators and crocs had really no room to move around in my opinion. There were a few animals who I thought were psychologically damaged. They just kept... more

Visited Zoo America on our long Memorial Day weekend trip to Pennsylvania. We did not go to Hershey Park, so we paid separate admission to the zoo (free to Hershey Park visitors). Many, many of the exhibits had signs "Speciman temporarily removed" - that was disappointing. The whole zoo area was filthy and the animals that were there didn't appear... more

It is a small zoo. . but big enough to put smiles on your children's face. It's not overly crowded so you get through quickly. You do not feel rushed which means you can spend more time at each exhibit without feeling in someone else's way. It is easy to get through with a wheelchair. The people are very friendly.... more

Yes, as other reviewers have commented, this zoo is certainly smaller than many 'big city' zoos. However, I do think that they do a good job with the animals that they do have. I have always gone to the zoo as part of my Hershey Park ticket, and find it a welcome, more relaxing thing to do if I get... more

This is a small zoo that was not particularly impressive, especially considering the many zoos I have visited. If you happen to be at Hershey Park, it doesn't hurt to take the kids for a 10 minute walk (literally) around the zoo since admission is included, but I would not make a special trip. I got in for free with... more

I thought this "zoo" was pathetic. As included with admission to Hershey Park, I was glad to have visited, but I could not imagine paying separate admission for this. It is only about 10 acres, and the exhibits for the bobcat and the aligator and crocodile are shockingly small. It was very disappointing. more

I wouldn't come here specifically for the zoo. I think Hershey should stick to what they know - chocolate. The kids enjoyed it but I've been to nicer places for less money. The whole tour around the zoo took us about 45 minutes. Probably 20 minutes of that spent in the bottleneck at the very beginning...they lead you through a... more
