It advertises itself as "open seven days a week", so off we went. The garden centre and shoe shop were open, but everything else was closed. So no food, no drink, no ice cream, no craft stalls, no signposted walks. A complete waste of time and petrol. more

What a gem!! Having lived in Wakefield all my life I rarely venture south of the border but this little place is worth the trip down the M1. My family and I are from huddersfield and came to pot house hamlet for a day trip. we did some christmas shopping which was good, lots of different things at reasonable prices, womens clothes, plants, cards, gifts etc. The restuarant cafe is excellent for south yorkshire, i had a pasta dish and the children had sandwiches, good service, reasonable price... more
