Horace Walpole was a true English eccentric who had friends such as Edward Lear and lived at Strawberry Hill. This truly eccentric house with mainly Gothic, but many other styles, is outstanding and is a gem amongst many historical houses that have sold out to commercialism. The guides are incredibly knowledgeable and enthusiastic; even our young children found it fascinating.

A feast for the eyes, a delight for the mind, one of the least known sights in the London area. I can't recommend it more highly.

Well worth the visit. We live close by and had never really had agood look before. Walpole has a significant place in English social history. His houamong famous and it's character is largely unspoilt. Check out the visiting arrangements online and come take a look.

I love Strawberry Hill and the areas surrounding it.
