A fantastic place to take the children. Set in lovely grounds and children are able to take turns in feeding the seals. Transport is available via a little 'train' that takes you round the resort. Also, the sea life area is excellent where children can find out all about marine creatures and touch things such as starfish and crabs. The... More

Have now been to the sanctuary 3 times as a family and we love it, apart from the seals, sea lions and the like there are penguins, otters and a really good rock pool exhibit. The staff are very knowledgeable and both adults and children can learn a lot. Beautiful surroundings, you can take your own food and drink and... More

We took the kids to this and they did enjoy it. Although its the sort of place you go once then youve done it. They helped to feed the seals abit of fish, saw them swimming around in their pools and generally enjoyed learning about them. It is all outside, so you need a good day. We were able to... More

This is a delightful place. Our 5 year old enjoyed the feeding of the animals the most. Worth a visit.

We used Tesco clubcard vouchers to visit the seal sanctuary. It is better than some of the recent reviews lead you to think. There are several tanks containing seals, sealions and pengiuns. There are underwater viewing spots to see the sealions and pengiuns. There is a new wooden pirate ship in the children's playarea. There is a rockpool area and... More

Went here while on our honeymoon. Had a really nice morning however I thought it was very expensive at £28 for two adults. I appreciate the money helps to run the place and provides care for the animals. Everyone in the que apart from us was using vouchers to make it cheaper, jump online to see what you can find.

We had a nice afternoon here today, weather helped as was glorious. Not sure I would have enjoyed it so much on a wet day. The on-the-door price is £14,50 each adult which is a lot of money for a relatively small attraction. They do online tickets cheaper (£10.50). We picked up a two for one deal at boots chemist.... Learn about sea lions and their plight in our waters. The Seal Sanctuary does great work with injured seals. Go and support them and learn something.

This place deserves a medal. They look after seals of all ages who have been washed up on beaches, damaged or injured and bring them back to fitness. If possible, they let them free or if not, they care for them for life..

We had great expectations of the National Seal Sanctuary, particularly as it is now run by the Merlin Group. However, we were very disappointed. They need to invest in the place and update much of it. The positives are that the seals are obviously well looked after and the staff are very good. The negatives are that the place just... More
