There were a lot of exhibits in a very small space.
I loved the S & H Centre and spent several hours wandering around. My only complaint - I felt the RNLI section was a bit out of date.
Lots of things to see and larger than we first thought. Some displays of more specialist interest but still had much to offer
From the outside this place looked smaller than it really was. It is very good value for money with plenty of varied exhibits from diving gear to items from shipwrecks, many of which are well known: Titanic, Mary Rose, etc., as well as local history.
This is one of the best museums I have ever visited, topical Ititanic) and full of local items of interested, took a good hour to see all.
Charlestown has a little harbour with two, three very old sailing vessels which can be visited and a nice pub. It is small, but nice and worthwhile. I would prefer it above Mevagissy
When we went back this year there were 3 ships in dock and they were getting the harbour ready for filming (so we were told).
there are lots of interesting things to look at, but the whole place is tired and shabby. It does only cost £5 to get in, but equally, work is needed :-(
Made a walk about; looking at the ships but did not enter the shipwreck and heritage centre.
Spent a couple of hours here, it is very interesting, but to get the most out of it you need to read the displays. However, there are several films that you can sit and watch and the one about the Royal National Lifeboat Institution was very interesting. Small Titanic exhibition and there is a cafe, but we did not go...
