It was nice tyo see the vegetable gardens put to good use & was a shame I shall not be in the area for the harvest that it planned there. Having visited the Eden project last... more

I am sure the Gardens were lovely and if I could be guaranteed the sunshine I would love to come back again, unfortunately the day we visited we had torrential rain for over 2 hours!! All I can say is that the Coffee shop/cafe was great and very good value for excellent food! and the shop was good too. Such... more

Appreciating the gushing reviews thus far, my partner & I nevertheless disagree. Yes, Heligan's good, but we were underwhelmed compared to Trelissick or Glendurgan in Cornwall, or Devon's RHS Rosemoor and Knightshayes Court at Tiverton. Rosemoor is the horticultural gob-smacker. 2009 admission fro Heligan is £8.50; Rosemoor £6.50; Glendurgan £6.40. See Rosemoor for magnificent planting, Glendurgan for a hanging valley... more

The jungle is atmospheric and even those with mobility problems should be able to see some of it. The gardens were very pretty and we enjoyed the show from the hidden cameras in the hide... more

We arrived bright and early in beautiful sunshine. Our first stop was the cafe for breakfast and then energised we set off down to the lost valley and jungle. It had been a few years since out last walk of the gardens and then it was sleeting! Over the years the whole of the gardens has come into its own... more

If you like gardens, then this is the one you have to visit and it's worth travelling for. The jungle garden is the most impressive, but in spring the rhododendrons in the upper garden are quite breathtaking. more

Heligan is such a great place to explore, the gardens are really interesting, the cafe's good and the Victorian walled garden with it's tightly regimented beds is something to behold! Well worth a visit with the kids... more
