You can see the tip of the sand dunes as you make your way up to Port Stephens but for the most part it is hidden from view. As we have young children we opted for a Sandboarding only experience on the Anna Bay side. We went with the big red bus which takes you for a fun ride up...

Well worth the drive to see this. Spectacular views and we also saw a huge pod of dolphins surfing.
This place is absolutely amazing. Miles of never-ending sand dunes and all for no cost. Just remember to take a hat and a drink-bottle because it can get boiling hot. Tip: Go for a swim then go into the sand dunes
