You have to hike accross bush, and sand-dunes to reach Samurai, and remember to have something on your feet, at least thongs, as the sand can get very hot, during the Summer months. Is a lovely beach that is clothing optional. There is nudist camping and also a lot of 4WD. Is a lovely secluded spot that is next to one mile beach, and has gorgeous sand dunes.

Nice unpatrolled ocean beach but only accessible with rugged 4 x 4WD or trek up a hilly and very deeply sandy track 700m long!

This is not a review, but rather a comment on the marked location of your Tripadvisor map. Currently the marked location has Samurai Beach on the opposite side of the bay from Port Stephens, whereas the actual location of the beach is near Boat Harbor next to Tomaree National Park and One Mile Beach.

Two beaches side by side separated by rocks, Samurai Beach and One Mile Beach. Samurai Beach is clothing optional if you want to skinny dip.
