We enjoyed our Amish country experience while visiting Lancaster. We rode in a horse and buggy ride near the Good N Plenty restaurant for about $20 and it lasted about 40 minutes. We stayed in Intercourse, PA (just outside Lancaster) on our way back from Virginia Beach. It was only April so the weather was not condusive for outdoor activity which was fine because we spent a lot of time eating (food is outstanding everywhere you go) and in little shops. I truly enjoy the Amish part of Lancaster. I have been a couple of times and each has been its own unique experience. I look forward to returning as we always run out of time. Would recommend taking more than a couple of days. Also on Sundays some things are not open. However bring $$ the attractions are not free.... more

We drove through Lancaster and around to Bird-in-Hand and back up through Lititz on our way to Hershey. Boy was this drive relaxing and fun and entertaining!
