This park is such a gem. The nostalgic rides, I just love them. There is something here for all ages! Story Book Forest still brings nursery rhymes to life. First it was me, now it's my children who get excited to go to the Good Ship Lollipop or see the Crooked Man and climb through the piece of 'mousey' cheese!... more

Let me set the record straight here. If ou have kids, live with driving distance, and don't come here. You're insane. This is the probably one of the best family amusement parks in america, the place that invented the amusement park. Great park for young children / pre teens.... Water park a little overcrowded on hot summer days. Hard to keep track of little ones on the Pirate Ship. Need to spend 2 days to fully enjoy this park. Going back in the fall for their Halloween "Hallowboo" more

Our daughter is 4 and we have visited Idlewild at least 2 x's a year for the past 4 years! She loves going, and we love seeing the excitement in her eyes as she visits all of her favorite storybook characters in Storybook Forest! the park is very child friendly, with a very laid back atmosphere. Amazing place for pre-schoolers, toddlers and early school age kids. You actually need to go 2 days to do everything. We had one full day there and probably only did about half of the great attractions. more

We have been to Idlewild about five or six times in the last eight years. It is the best park for kids six and under. The Kiddie rides are so unique and well kept. Our (almost) 4 year old had a wonderful time at Idlewild. We arrived around 10:00 AM, and from the start, the park is user friendly. Wristbands are sold at the entry to the parking lot, so there aren't ticket booths or gates to get into the actual park. We started with the Storybook forest. It's a nice primer... eases you... more
