If you're an animal lover, this is a must see. These wolves would otherwise be euthanized, and the caretakers of this property treat them like family. They're beautiful creatures, and it was wonderful visting and learning so much about them
We took a guided tour of Speedwell Forge Wolf Sanctuary of Pa in Lititz, Pa. I have loved wolves all my life so to be able to see the packs of wolves up close was a dream come true. Our guide was so knowledgable, I learned even more than I knew before. These wolves are maintained in 25 acres of...

We did the moon light tour and loved it. Its a great way to get to see wolves up close as well as learn more about the wolf.
Being a few feet away from these beautiful animals is a rare privilege. Getting to observe their gentle behavior toward each other is an amazing experience. Their eyes are expressive and their coat thick. You just naturally want to hug them and treat them like a pet dog, but are reminded they are wild animals.
I can't explain how moving it is to look into the the eyes of the beautiful animals and get the sense of both their wildness and believe it or not, their thankfulness for being rescued and cared for. Great educational, environmental and emotional experience. This is a truly moving and enlightening experience. I highly recommend.
I was a principal in this Sanctuary - rebuilding the wonderful wolves enclosures - working with some of the original wolves over 35 at that time...The new managers of the B& B are fabulous owners who care very much & will make your stay or visit an experience to remember.
We had a fantastic time. Our volunteer guide Mandy was great. She was very knowledgeable and extremely passionate about the wolves. The tour was visually impressive and very informative giving the opportunity to see a beautiful and elusive animal that has been extinct in Pennsylvania for over a Century. We plan to return for a future Full Moon tour. Persons...

You will learn so much about wolves during your guided tour. The volunteer guides probably know everything there is to know about the wolves. You get to see the wolves up close (from behind two rows of fences). Every wolf has a name and although none really respond to their names (except Thor, who is blind), it really does give...

Off the beaten path if you're visiting the PA Dutch Country, but absoultely worth the detour. Utterly fascinating. If you're an animal lover, the wolf sanctuary is not to be missed. On the way back, we stopped at the J. Sturgis Pretzel Factory, we took the tour (during which you get to make your own pretzel). Both me and my...
