I recommend taking the more expensive longer tour...it's worth the extra money and you get to take photos of inside the house. I went in the fall after the leaves fell - I cannot imagine how great it would have been with the leaves on the trees. Fallingwater is a treat - it's a must do if you love FLW... more

We took a detour on our way home from Pittsburgh to visit this amazing architectural landmark. We were lucky that our trip coincided with the peak of fall foliage, and it was gorgeous. I highly recommend going at this time of the year if you can. We took the basic tour which lasted about an hour, but we also enjoyed... more

Since I first saw a photo of Fallingwater some 20 years ago I've wanted to visit and I'm so glad we did. The house is quite breathtaking and the manner in which it has been designed and built is something you simply can't appreciate from the photos and books. The way the windows merge into the stone, the fact that... more

For many years I have wanted to see Fallingwater, a house designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. In September 2009, we finally made the trip and it was more than what I expected. Extra money for an in-depth tour is a must if you want to make photos inside the house. Be sure to get a grounds map (available on the... more

Even the entrance of the conservancy offers the same quiet sophistication and intelligence of design of arguably the most prolific architect of all time. Drive through the woods into the parking area, and you get a sense of what it was all about. Mature growth trees, tranquil beauty of the Western Pennsylvania Forest, and a faint rush of water from... more

Fallingwater, Frank Lloyd Wright's house is very interesting and awe inspriring. It has a very organized system for it's tours and probably something you can't do without reservations. It's not a place if you have walking problems or can't do stairs. more

After wanting to see Fallingwater for 30 years, I finally made it! It was smaller than I thought it would be... not small.. just smaller. I had done a lot of research on it, Wright and the family who owned it. Their story is as interesting as Wrights! The most surprising part was the glass opening and steps down from... more

We went here the first weekend this was open for the season, April 1st. There was a snowstorm that day and the day before. With the snow and ice, it was just breathtaking. I almost feel we were lucky to have seen it this way. We got to see the fireplace going, which was surely something one would not have... more

Reservations are recommended. You risk a long wait otherwise. Welcome center is nice with gift shop and casual restaurant. The tour and the house itself are wonderful. Fascinating facts about Wright and the Kaufman's, as well as views to die for. After the tour, a great area for photos is a short walk from the home and the view is... more

I am not someone particularly interested in architecture or design, I planned a visit here mainly because I knew my wife would love it. Well, so did I! What a setting - I would have been tempted to never leave if it were my house. We've been to places like Hearst Castle, the Newport mansions, Winterthur in Delaware, Belle Meade... more
