This is a free attraction with a museum showing the history of Martin guitars, and area where you can try out some of the guitars, and an actual tour of the factory in operation (not a fake, simulated tour). Very interesting and definitely worth the trip.

Years back, I interviewed the president of the Martin Guitar Co. They were so kind to accomodate that meeting so that I could complete a project for one of my college classes. The legacy of the corporate culture shines though in their production and manufacturingof Martin products! Great job and keep up the good work! :)

Martin does about as good a job giving tours as making guitars. They're conducted by knowledgeable factory employees and if anything is hidden it is hidden so well you don't know it. Groups are reasonably small (I think the 12 I was part of is typical) and everyone wears earphones with a small radio receiver so you can actually hear... More

I will say I was a bit hesitant about taking my 5 year old but both my children LOVED it! Our tour guide was fantastic and kept my kids engaged. This tour really made me want to learn to play the guitar. The hand craftsmanship is truly amazing and how it all comes together is quite a feat. The tour... More

Martin Guitars has a new modern and (some parts) comuterized operation. They provide tours with very knowledgable guides and you will see the entire process from raw wood to finished product. The walls are filled with great pictures of Martin's history, the process as it changed over the years, the people involved and of course many of their famous customers.... More

Great FREE tour! Yes, FREE tour! The place is great for all people, even kids. It's very interesting and worth it. Took us about two hours total. It was our guides birthday and he was very friendly, funny, and informative. I'm not in to guitars at all and really enjoyed it!

This tour takes you to the floor of the factory where the actual guitars are produced. You are taken through each step and explained the process of the production of the Martin Guitar.
