My partner and I used to live in New Hope, PA and went to see A Christmas Carol last year. I really enjoyed the show. The actors and acresses are fantastic, and overall, had a great experience. The sets may be simple and some of the actors may be novice, but the experience of attending a performance on a cool summer night at a history summer stock theater such as the Bucks County Playhouse is a wonderful evening of fun... if you go in with that mindset. They try very hard at this quaint playhouse, but the audience is full of very senior, senior citizens who probably have subscriptions and enjoy the close by night out. We saw Evita here in the Fall of 2008 and it was painful to watch, the scenery and performances were high schoolish in my opinion and the property is run down.... more
