The Frick Art and Historical is a must see for anyone who visits Pittsburgh having an interest in the area's industrial heritage. Clayton, the home of the Henry Clay Frick Family from 1882 to 1905, represents the Gilded Age in all its splendor. The home is magnificent. We opted for the docent led tour which must be scheduled in advance,... More

We go to the Frick every few months. Tea is quite a treat. Never been disappointed.

Visiting the house gives you a look into Victorian Pittsburgh in its heyday. Then there's the car museum, and the art exibits. Also the cafe, kind of pricey, but splurge on high tea! Grounds are beautiful.

Later, his daughter... More

If you haven't been to Frick, get there! The art museum is nice, great classic cars, and the mansion has some amazing paintings as well.

Widely interesting and worthwhile. (Men on an earlier tour marveled at the woodwork in the family mansion, Clayton, and children were fascinated by the 19th Century toys and a player-piano type orchestra in a huge box on the front porch.) House tours daily except Monday and holidays, $6-$12. Everything else is free. John Phillips Sousa's band entertained here on at... More
