The Science Center is a great way to get out of the snow or the heat and keep the kids occupied for 3-6 hours. With an IMAX, and a variety of exhibits the kids have enough to keep them entertained. But don't expect this to be a top tier experience with all of the interactive exhibits of some others. All-in-all,... More

Location: On the waterfront right next to the Heinz Stadium. Easy to get to when there is no stadium event. Parking: Seems to be ample parking for members at $3, $5 for non-members and $7 during events. Cost: If you have a reciprocal membership from another science centre, admission will be free. Check your membership privileges at your home science... More

We visited the Carnegie Science Center as a group during the International Science and Engineering Fair. The Tornado Alley show in the Omnimax Theater was very cool. The Omnimax is a cross between an IMAX and a planetarium. Our teenage girls loved the Air Power exhibit. I didn't have a chance to see everything. Someday I will go back!

Took my son who is 6 and has a great day. Loved the robots, sea life, electricity show, water table and going in the submarine.

Even though it doesnt change much from each visit, it is a nice day trip for little kids. I have to children 4 and 18 months and they love it there, espeically the robot display.

I visited one Saturday morning when it opened and had a very nice visit. Most visitors started at the bottom and meandered toward the top so, I did the opposite (and recommend the same.) The reef exhibit was my favorite. I liked seeing the fish and coral but also enjoyed seeing the filtration system! I loved the robot exhibit!! Next... More

We had a great day there but explanations are very small and food was very bad.

Nice way to spend a day- good for a one time visit, but I found it small and average - been to bigger and better science centers - does bring in interesting visiting exhibits - wouldn't buy a membership or go out of my way to visit

Get your hands on science - see how things work, pull, push, shake and watch what happens! See the kids learning & exploring and do it along with them. This place is great.

This Science Center has something for everyone. My family really enjoyed the model train exhibit, the tornado chaser IMAX movie and the robotics exhibit. The food in the cafeteria was pretty good by museum standards. Friendly staff. Reasonable prices.
