Liked the variety of different exhibits they had. The telephone section was interesting to my kids (ages 8 and 10), they did not know how to use a rotary dial phone!
Very nice layout, a lot of exhibits to see and not overly crowded. Get the combo ticket with the Heritage Trust museum for the best deal. Had some kid-friendly exhibits and "hands-on" pieces so the young ones didn't get bored.
There is so much to see here - lots of historical information about many industries in the area, what is made and how it is made. There is also information about farming, and some farm equipment made locally is on display

This museum can be a little boring so if you there with kids, try to come up with a scavenger hunt ahead of time to keep the kids entertained. This will really tell you the history of York. From the Underground Railroad to the agriculture, to the industry over the years. Lots of walking. Be prepared to spend several hours looking at & reading all the info on the exhibits on 2 floors. Very enjoyable.
Unique museum in that it covers Agricultural and Industrial history. The working water powered grist mill is fascinating! Good auto display and interesting examples of manufacturing equipment. Don't miss the Microbrew festival in June
