Nice ride there, but on the way back it was a nightmare! My husband and I went to Block Island for the day for the first time last Tuesday- (beautiful day by the way, sunny 80 degrees). The New London, CT to Block Island Hi-Speed Ferry is a fast and relatively inexpensive way to travel to Block Island ($37 RT per adult as of Aug, 2006.) After arriving to Point Judith, RI I boarded the Block Island Ferry to take a trip to the island. This 1 hour ride was very relaxing and enjoyable.
