The prices were confusing--what we paid was different than what was posted, and it was difficult to figure out why there was such a discrepancy. Try the parking lot a short walk along a walkway across from the ferry dock--free in the off-season.

We had calm waters going out. A little rougher going back, the ferry was smooth and safe in both. The staff was helpful loading and unloading our bikes and backpacks.

The Block Island Ferry is the best way to get to Block. We went on the High Speed Ferry. Quick & Easy! Bring your bike, car, or just walk on!

A visit to Rhode Island isn't complete unless you see Block Island. The most common way to get there is by the Block Island ferry. You buy tickets at the Interstate Navigation office right near the ferry landing and board shortly before departure. You can take your car on the ferry but it is an additional charge and you must... If you take the slow ferry, you can take your car, but why bother? Block Island is small and you can easily ride your bike. Or just walk to Ballads for a day on the beach and cocktails. The fast ferry can get you there in well under an hour.

Don't waste your time on the slow ferry, you want to spend your time sight seeing on land . Besides the fast ferry is an experience in and of itself.

We just retruned from Block Island on a beautif Colubus day weekend. I can not say enough about this island. We brought our bikes over on the ferry and rode the entire island. From light house to light house. Vist the bluffs, and enjoy the most majestic beaches on the north east coast. Freindly people. Great food and fun at... More

A beutiful trip on a last gasp of summer weathersay, Columbus weekend. Suggest buying tickets on web in advance which I assume will give you ability to avoid lines. Ticket sales help however VERY efficient and kept long line moving quickly. Understand they are't rude when they rush you along as it is all in the spirit of the greater... More
