We took a sunset eco-tour on a tandem kayak. Over the 2-hour tour, we experienced closely the intricate ecosystem of the Pettaquamscutt Watershed Area, with its amazing wildlife (especially the wide variety of crustaceans and birds). My family and I took a Moonlight kayak ride with Ron, the naturalist at Narrow River Kayaks and had the most amazing experience. We set out at dusk and saw osprey, herons and egrets. Many Kudos!!, for an outstanding afternoon. Our family consisted of 2 adults and 3 chlidren, ages 10-12. We were impressed with the Eco-tour we had along the river, the timing of the breaks for the group and the fun looking around the sand bars and tide pools for creatures. We just went kayaking for the first time with kids aged 12-19 and had a great time. The river itself is quite calm and placid without much current and is only 1-4 feet deep, which makes it much less scary for first-timers. Narrow River did a great job of explaining how to kayak and provided several options about which direction... More
