I have been coming to the Emile Ruecker Refuge for a while and love the park. It's a very easy trail with no extenuating paths, beautiful views of the Sakonet River and some nice places to sit down and enjoy the views while having a snack. I've been coming to this Audubon refuge for years. I like to come a couple of times per season as each has it's own special attraction. My favorite time is autumn. There are a few large maple trees at the junction of the Red and Yellow trails that turn the such a bright yellow that they light up the woods....

If you are in the area, this small refuge is worth exploring. The trails are very easy to walk, mostly all flat terrain and there is a lot of signage to direct you to the various different trails. It will take less than an hour to hike all the trails. There is a nice trail that takes you along a...
