Great tour of historic St. Helena I. & Penn Center. Learned lots about the sea islands, and Evelene is great.
This tour was recommended to us by a couple people and we were not disappointed. Our tour guide Kelly made this tour amazing with her passion and knowledge of Beaufort. We learned so many interesting facts, saw beautiful homes and laughed at some of Kelly's stories. She tailored the tour to our interests. Best day of our vacation! We are... More
(This tour is listed under attractions instead of activities and needs to move to activities so people can find it). We enjoyed the city tour with Evelene a lot. She even let us crate our small dogs in her office since it was too hot in the car, thank you! Loved seeing all the homes and hearing the history. She's... More
So many beautiful homes, so much history. The Federal Cemetery was so evocative. I've never been on a tour during which the tour guide sang. It was beautiful. Than you Evelene!
We went on the Low Country Plantation and Gullah Tour. This is a 3 hour tour that goes out to the sea islands, but seems to have destinations that are variable depending upon the guide or the wants of the tourists. The tour guide did seem to have a good knowledge of Beaufort history, but sometimes their personal history gets... More
We took the van tour to Hunting Island and Parris Island and what a great day it was! Our guide was Eveline who was both informative and entertaining. Climbing the Hunting Island lighthouse is recommended ( for those with good knees and hips) as the view from the top is spectacular. On Parris Island, where the military base is, we... More
We took this walking tour on a hot and steamy August afternoon. I recommend doing it late in the day if in town during the summertime. We chose the 4pm tour and it was perfect as the sun wasn't scorching us from above. Kelly, our tour guide, is a native of Beaufort and is extremely knowledgeable in its history and... More
We took both the ghost tour and the van tour of the town. Both Ashley and Kelly were great guides. These ladies and Evelene were all very accommodating of my son whose main form of mobility is a wheelchair. The guides were knowledgeable about the town and made it a wonderful, entertaining learning experience.
Our guide was entertaining and informational. She also has a lovely relationship with the horse who pulled our carriage, so that was fun to be a part of too. The gardens and the homes are worth seeing.
We found the tour to be entertaining and informative. We learned a lot about the local culture and history, while being entertained with stories about real people. We found our guide, Ashley to be charming. We give this 5 stars and can't wait to be back and try the other tours from this company.
