Enjoyed the tour guide and the home. However our first experience with the staff was a snooty gentleman. He actually made me laugh bc he reminded me of Higgens from Magnum. He just needs to lighten up a bit.

Worth it. Tour guide very southern. Walk through house starting in reception hall. Very informative. Fully restored with replica furniture. One original chair.

House with a beautiful spiral staircase. Inside is a must see. Historic Charleston Foubdation did a great job restoring this old house.

The house was wonderful, and I would highly recommend a visit. It has been beautifully restored, has amazing period furniture inside, and the stairwell is breathtaking. The women who gave the tour and/or introduced the tour were bad, so I docked a star. The woman introducing the tour started with don't do this, don't do that, don't do this, don't... More

Park your car at the Visitors Center and get a Heritage Passport. Ride the free tourist bus south. This was one of the better homes. Family had kept it up until recently. Beautifully restored with an interesting tour.

I wanted to see at least one of the historic houses and so we picked this one. It was quite interesting, but our guide was a bit dull. Gardens lovely though.

A must see house. Wonderful quick tour. A little far from town. But fabulous. Go see it.

I've learned that different historic house tours emphasize different things, and this one definitely focuses on the architecture, style and furnishings of this magnificent house, so if you're at all interested in those sorts of things, this is a must-see. The gardens are lovely, too. If you can, come on foot because the surrounding blocks of lower Market Street are... More

I had never toured a Charleston home before and decided to check this one out. It was very beautiful! Tour was about 45 minutes long.. guides are very informative. The architecture inside is amazing. LOVED the staircase. You get a discount on the Aiken-Rhett house if you visit this one on the same day!
