I loved the new madagascar feature. Had a one of a kind alligator. The view outside to the shipping yard and bay was great. Took lots of pictures 4 D experience was fun and it with the value ticket purchase. If you go to visitors center you can get a coupon for $1 off admission.

This is a great aquarium. Some may find it a little small in comparison to the big city aquariums, but this one is still very fun!

The aquarium was very nice and the staff very friendly. However. it was pretty small in comparison to other aquariums we have visited. It only took us a little over an hour to visit all of the exhibits.
One word of advice--dont eat at the cafe. We got turkey sandwiches. One tiny piece of turkey and hardly anything on them....

went on mothers day and as expected full of children but well layed out, loads to see, tanks large and informative a good way to spend a few hours or more if you have children

The landscape and area surrounding the South Carolina aquarium is some of the most picturesque and pleasant of the modern construction anywhere in Charleston. A beautiful plaza, the harbor front walkway, the maritime museum, and the lovely waterfront park just a stones throw away. Cool aquarium, lots to see, but by far our party's favorite was the Sea turtle rescue tour of the small rehab hospital in the basement of the aquarium. The South Carolina Aquarium is beautiful! It is not like other aquariums because it focuses on the "mountains to the sea" in South Carolina. Except for special exhibits, all of the flora and fauna are South carolina species. The touch tank is a favorite!
