I had problems with this from the beginning. I love groupon and I bought through them and I had trouble with my card but groupon and I resolved that issue and they were called personally by groupon and they accepted my purchase and I chose to meet on Sunday and we were about 15 minutes early and we waited until... I apologize for your inconvenience. It is unfortunate that this is our first contact. If you had called to reserve a spot from Thursday on, you would have heard the message that WE WERE CLOSED FOR THE HOLIDAY. The GroupOn clearly states to call for reservations as spaces are limited. Indeed, the City of Charleston limits tour groups to a... More

This was a great overall tour with history as well as information on the beautiful architecture in this scenic city. There are many tours and this one gave us something from many topics. The guide was very personable and knowledgeble. You can also take tours with him on just one topic. We enjoyed hearing most about the varied religious background... More

Lots of very good history and a lot of little things you wouldn't learn anywhere else. Very good walk seeing some of the oldest buildings in the Charleston and learning all about Charleston history.

My husband and I had a short weekend trip to Charleston for our 2nd Anniversary. I found a Groupon coupon for the Old Walled City walking tour and immediately bought the coupon and called to make a reservation. We did not have an itinerary for our trip, nor did we have any assistance in planning what to do once we... More

Al did a fantastic job. I don't know how he can remember all the facts, but he was very good at explaining the history of Charleston. He was entertaining at the same time. It was a very enjoyable and easy walking tour.

My husband and I were on a very quick visit to Charleston but still wanted to experience the city. Old Walled Tours was the perfect solution. Al Ray knows the city well, and presents it very entertainingly. He combines the history, architecture, people and culture of Charleston, entwining the facts with amusing anecdotes. The tour also includes 2 houses, which... More

My friend and I were short on time and we re able to book Al for a private walking tour to balance out and fill in the holes from what we had learned on some other tours. Al's passion for his city is palpable. Having our very own historian by the hour was indeed a rare treat but I can... More

My wife and I were extremely lucky to have Al all to ourselves for a walking tour of the historical district. Al was extremely knowledgeable and personable through the tour and the time flew by as we learned all the details of the history of this fine city. I would recommend anyone wishing to learn about the district to utilize... More

We found Al on a recommendation from another tour guide who wasn't yet open for the season. We did the "Old Walled City Walk" on a beautiful Sunday morning and found it interesting and entertaining. There are so many little stories on every block in Charleston and Al knows them all! Our tour lasted about 2 hours and Al was... More

Al was our tour guide and provided us with an informative, entertaining tour of the old town by foot. After watching the horse and carriage tours wait in traffic, I was silently thankful that we didn't do that. The time just flew by. I highly recommend taking this tour if you've never been to Charleston and like to be outside.
