We happened upon The Griffin while walking in the Waterfront Park area looking for a place for lunch. This pub was a lucky find - cheap beer and really good fish and chips! Friendly service, too.

Really enjoyed having a beer at this pub. There selection was generous and fairly priced. Good pub settings, not a typical tourist bar. Food was good as well.

Stopped by lunch on a hot June day. Great fish and chips - fresh fish, crisp chips and big cold beer. And I mean great fish and chips. I grew up in New England and know my F&C, and these are good. Very friendly staff. When I head back to Charleston, I"m heading back to The Griffon.
