We just got back from our "trip advisor" trip to Charleston. This is the first time we have used trip advisor and tried most of the highly recommended things. We were not disappointed! We did so many things while in Charleston (Ft. Sumter, History Tour, Ghost Walks, House Tours), but I believe Jack Thomson's tour was the best of them all (and that's no knock on the other things we did, Jack is just THAT good). I was going to take a walk with this "jack" person and the conceirge recommended the Original Charleston Walks - I was sooooo glad! Check out there website, there tours are excellent. more

We did the Fort Sumter trip, The Carriage Tour and The Confederate Walking Tour with Jack Thomson. The walking tour was wonderful and well worth the money. A highlight of our trip. more

If you are really into the civil war and you want the in depth stories this is the tour for you! Jack is great! He takes you into the 1860s and you learn so much. He brings photographs of what the streets looked like then and holds them up to see the changes and more so the lack of change... more
